FLORI RING
A sculptural ring created by my daughter, Ofri, who shares the story and meaning behind it in her own words.
Flori means “flower” - and it’s also the name of my grandmother, Florence, who I never got to meet. She was a social worker, an activist, and a woman who loved Israel with all her heart.
This is the first piece of jewelry I’ve created since the war began - after a long period in which I couldn’t, or simply didn’t feel the urge, to go to the studio and create.
The name Flori holds both meanings for me - the gentle softness of a flower blooming after the rain, and the quiet resilience of a woman whose presence is felt even from afar.
A piece born out of stillness, pain, and a small beginning of hope.
